Atal Asra Yojana applications invited for ST families; housing aid up to ₹5 lakh

Digital Goa, June 12 – The Directorate of Tribal Welfare has invited applications for the Atal Asra Yojana, a housing assistance scheme aimed at improving the living conditions of Scheduled Tribe (ST) families in Goa.

Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive financial assistance of up to ₹5 lakh for construction of a new house or reconstruction of an existing one, while assistance of up to ₹3 lakh is available for repair works.

The annual income eligibility limit has been increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, enabling more ST families to avail benefits under the scheme.

Applicants must submit documents including an income certificate, ST certificate, Aadhaar card, ration card, bank passbook copy, house tax receipt, affidavit and photographs of the existing house. Applications can be submitted directly to the Directorate of Tribal Welfare or through the office of the Deputy Director, Tribal Welfare.

Applicants are required to submit documents including an affidavit, house tax

copy, photographs of the existing house, and other prescribed documents.
