Digital Goa, July 24 – An undertrial prisoner has been booked for assaulting a fellow inmate inside Central Jail, Colvale. According to police, the incident occurred at around 4 pm on July 19 in Block No. 3, Cell Nos. 4/5 of the jail. The accused, Mohammad Shainsha, allegedly abused fellow undertrial prisoner Mohammad Ashraf with filthy language before attacking him with a carrom board.
Police said Ashraf sustained fracture injuries to his left eye socket and cheekbone in the assault. The accused also allegedly threatened to kill the victim over previous enmity.
