Digital Goa, July 24 – Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has approved a proposal to convert 18 land parcels, covering a total area of 25,174 square metres, to settlement zone under the provisions of Section 39A of the TCP Act.The proposed conversions are spread across the villages of Calangute, Sirvorim-Quepem, Parra-Bardez, Chinchinim, Moira, Chimbel, Virnora-Pernem, Panelim-Tiswadi, Latambarcem-Bicholim, Tuem, Veroda-Salcete, Morjim and Quela.Of the 18 parcels, four are located in Morjim, including a proposal to convert 1,695 square metres of land sought in the names of Anil Kapoor, Lalit Kumar Arora and Tanishq Arora, represented by Yeshwant Shegaonkar. The government has invited suggestions and objections from the public on the proposed conversions within 30 days.
