Digital Goa, July 29 – Goa Crime Branch has filed an over 400-page chargesheet in the Dona Paula dacoity case, paving the way for trial in one of the state’s high-profile robbery cases. The chargesheet cites 30 witnesses and names the five arrested accused. The case relates to the April 2025 armed dacoity at the Dona Paula residence of a senior citizen couple. With assistance from the Delhi Police, officers arrested five Bangladeshi nationals and a person from Uttar Pradesh. The accused, who are currently lodged in judicial custody at Colvale Jail, were produced before the court on Wednesday. With the filing of the chargesheet, the prosecution is expected to initiate trial proceedings.
