Digital Goa, August 3 – A delegation of the Dhangar community, led by senior BJP leader Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, met CM Pramod Sawant to press for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for the community.Speaking to the media after the meeting, Kavlekar said the Chief Minister informed the delegation that Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has assured that the demand would be reconsidered. He added that the CM has also assured the delegation that he would once again take up the matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah before August 15.
