Goa to bear 75% of the cost of Tillari Canal repair in Maharashtra

Digital Goa, Aug 26 – Shirodkar also informed that the repair work on a 22-km stretch of the Tillari canal in Maharashtra will be undertaken from October, with Goa bearing 75% of the cost and Maharashtra 25%. The canal has not been repaired from Maharashtra side for nearly 30 to 40 years, he added. During the three-month repair period, water will be supplied through pipelines laid from Amthane to Cuchelim. Testing is underway and water supply through the pipeline will begin from September 1, he informed.
