Digital Goa, Sep 2 – Supreme Court today asked the High Court to expeditiously decide the Borim bridge land acquisition case, while hearing an SLP filed by the Goa government against the High Court stay, informed AG Devidas Pangam. The SC directed parties to complete pleadings and asked the HC to begin hearing by October 13 or earlier, if possible. In the last week of July 2026, High Court had restrained the Goa government from proceeding with land acquisition and further construction process of the bridge following a challenge by land occupants and agricultural tenants from Loutolim and Borim. Following this, Goa govt had filed an SLP in the matter in the apex court which came for hearing today.
