The Goa government has reconstituted the North Goa Planning and Development Authority for the Panaji, Taleigao, Bambolim and Mapusa planning areas, with Panaji Mayor Rohit Monserrate as chairman.The notification lists the MLAs of Panaji, Porvorim, Mapusa, Aldona, Saligao, Tivim and Siolim as members by office. The other members named are Mapusa municipal councillors Sushant Harmalkar and Aashirwad Khorjuvekar; Rupesh Kamat and Sagar Naik from Mapusa and Gurudas Shirodkar from Calangute; and Taleigao residents Pedro Coutinho and Mario Fernandes . A town planning officer will serve as member secretary. The notification came into force on September 28.
