Dharbandora to Mapusa section of Tamnar line will be completed this year: Sudin

Digital Goa, Aug 8 – Dharbandora to Mapusa portion of the Tanmar transmission line will be completed in 2023 and the part from Karnataka to Dharbandora will be completed by 2025, House was told by Power Minister Dhavlikar today. “We do not have control over the project. We have taken the project because we are getting 1,200 MW electricity,” he added. He further asserted that even if the Tanmar line does not complete, the high cost infrastructure created in Goa will be of use to the state. “Substation at Dharbandora itself will be worth more than Rs 400 crore,” he informed. 17,000 trees are proposed to be cut in Transmission Project line from Dharbandora to Cuncolim to Sheldem, Sudin informed the house.
