Digital Goa, Aug 23 – International Federation of Association Football, FIFA has officially lifted the registration ban imposed on Churchill Brothers Football Club after the team paid due salary to a player. In an official statement released earlier today, FIFA acknowledged the Creditor has successfully received the outstanding amounts owed to them by Churchill Brothers FC Goa. “As a consequence, we inform you that the present proceedings are closed and hence, the registration ban imposed has been lifted,” stated a statement from FIFA. A long-standing financial dispute between the club and Senegalese striker Abdoulaye Sane was the cause for the ban.
