Digital Goa, Dec 29 – The ongoing feud between Members of Maharashtra & Goa sand transport Associations, which led to acute shortage of sand for constructions in Goa, has been resolved with the intervention of CM Pramod Sawant. A joint meeting of Maharashtra and Goa Sand Transporters Association was held with CM Pramod Sawant in the presence of MLA Jeet Arolkar and MLA Nilesh Rane of Maharashtra at CM ‘s official residence. CM brokered the truce between associations of both States and the sand transportation will resume shortly. Goa was facing acute sand shortage for construction for last two months as sand transportation into Goa from Maharashtra had stopped due to fight between both association over the vehicles to be engaged in transportation.
