Digital Goa, Dec 30 – Don’t keep peopl aside on the basis of caste or religion. If they are isolated, they will come under the influence of ‘Urban Naxals’ operational in Goa, CM Pramod Sawant advised the BJP Morcha office bearers today. Citing the example of his constituency, Sanquelim, Sawant said that every village has a separate Scheduled Caste(SC) wado with 10 to 12 houses which always remain isolated from other villagers. He asked the BJP office bearers to ensure that people from these isolated wados are reached out to and assimilated with other workers during meetings and other party works. “If we call them BJP, don’t keep our people aside on the basis of caste or religion,” he asserted. The term ‘Urban Naxals’, which has gained currency since 2018 is often used by some segments of the political spectrum to describe sympathisers of the Naxalism cause as well as certain social activists.
