Right to Information: Govt initiates process to appoint new Information Commissioners

Digital Goa, Jan 16-  Goa govt has  invited applications for filling up the 2 vacancies of State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioner in the Goa State Information Commission. The posts have been announced as 3 year term of Vishwas Satarkar as State Chief Information Commissioner and Sanjay Dhavlikar as chief information commissioner ends this month. Interested and eligible persons have been asked to submit their applications giving detailed Bio-Data along with self-attested photo copies of proof of educational qualifications, experience certificates and address for communication so as to reach the office of the Director of Information and Publicity, Government of Goa, 3rd floor, Udyog Bhavan, Panaji- Goa by Feb 5,2024. The pay per month for both the posts is fixed at Rs 2.25 lakh. Although no specific qualification has been specified, the advertisement issued by Director, Information and Publicity has stated that the applicants need to be the persons of eminence in public life with wide knowledge and experience in law, science and technology, social service, management, journalism, mass media or administration and governance.
