Digital Goa, Jan 13 – Goa government is in the process of implementing ‘PATHIK’ software developed by Ahmedabad Police for keeping a tab on criminal activities being carried out by those staying in hotels in the state, informed Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh. The Software will help Goa police maintain online, searchable database of all visitors and guests of hotels and lodges across the state. Hotels will have to mandatorily upload data about their guest on the Pathik software. Police will be able to monitor, access and use the data in real-time to track those staying in Goan hotels and are involved in criminal activities. The software is in use in Gujarat since 2018 and is instrumental in the prevention and detection of a number of cases by Gujarat Police.
