Digital Goa, Feb 9 – Total of 2059 Mundkarial, 2485 tenancy, 541 tenancy appeal and 374 Mundkarial appeal cases are pending across the state, the hosue was told by Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate. He assured the house that govt is serious about disposing of the cases with utmost priority to protect the rights of people, he added. Number of cases disposed of include – North Goa :1072 Mundkarial cases, 1,385 tenancy cases, 145 tenancy appeal, 152 Mundkarial appeal cases and South Goa: 595 Mundkarial cases, 730 tenancy cases, 95 tenancy appeal cases and 146 Mundkarial appeal cases. Monserrate was responding to a private member resolution before the house. Calangute BJP MLA pointed out that the figures were same as last year and alleged that the authorities are not working as expected. Babush also told the house that govt has no intentions of introducing the sunset clause.
