Digital Goa, Feb 15 – A 21 member State Level Steering Committee on Energy Transition has been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary has been constituted to develop State- Specific Energy Efficiency Action Plan (SEEAP) comprising of sector-wise targets towards achieving a common target of energy intensity and emission reduction. The committee comprises of officials from various Goa govt departs including Power, Transport, Tourism, PWD etc. The energy transition will involve adding renewables in power portfolio , promoting and achieving greater energy efficiency in various sectors, enhanced use of Biomass and Green Hydrogen, E-mobility transition, etc. The initiatives will aim at fulfilling the Panchamrit commitments made by the nation during COP-26 Conference on Climate Change.
