Digital Goa, Mar 5- Goa govt is contemplating introducing a long form answer type paper in Konkani for govt recruitment exams to inculcate the urge to learn Konkani among youth, said CM Pramod Sawant today. “In the long run, if written exam is introduced, they will have to learn to write in Konkani too,” he said, while speaking at the Bhasha Puraskar function organised by Official Language Dept. He informed that for the first time Goa Staff Selection Commission had introduced MCQ paper in Konkani for govt job aspiring candidates in it’s recently held recruitment tests. Of the 900 students who answered the paper only 17 failed, said CM Pramod Sawant. He added that when he checked the surnames of those who failed, he realised that they were not originally Goans. Introduction of Konkani in such exams will ensure that Goans enter into govt service, he added.
