Digital Goa, Mar 12 – Goa University has launched a scheme for Start Ups and innovators in the state. Titled Hand holding and Start-up scheme, it is supported by DST-PURSE (Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence). The scheme is open to all Goa residents in the age group of 18 – 62 years. Expert faculty members from Goa University will mentor the startups. Every year, GU will fund 5 to 10 project proposals with a sum of Rs 20,000 to Rs one lakh each (80%from Goa University and 20% Applicant share of the total sum sanctioned) as well as provide domain expertise, infrastructure, space to work, human resources and connectivity with investors. Applications are open from today, March 12.
