KRCL has floated tender seeking an operator to operate Rent-a-bike service at seven stations on the Konkan Railway route, 4 of which are in Goa. Rent-a-Bike services are to be operated at Madgaon, Canacona , Thivim, Karmali in Goa and Karwar,Gokarna Road and Kumta Railway Station in Karnataka through a single contract for all seven stations. The successful bidder will be operate Rent-a-bike services in the area of 300 Square feet each at of the 7 Railway stations. “ Passenger can hire a Motor bike/Scooters on payment of prescribed charges . Licensee can provide optional accessories , such as helmets, gloves, jackets etc. on payment prescribed charges. Licensee can provide option of online Booking and Delivery ( through website or mobile App) of two wheelers. Licensee is permitted to keep only vehicles with license for rental services ie. the registration board should be yellow on black,” states the tender document.
