July 30 – Goa govt today told the house that 6 months time is needed to upgrade the infrastructure linked to Directorate of Settlement and Land records (DSLR) portal and Dharani Application to provide faster and uninterrupted access to citizens. Minister Babush Monserrate was replying to calling attention highlighting the issues faced by citizens while accessing their land records through the portal. He said that the system will be migrated to the National Government Cloud and outdated routers of Goa Broadband Network will be replaced through the Info Tech Corporation of Goa. He claimed that security audit of the website is constantly being done to keep cyberattacks at bay. Incidentally, the portal which was down for significant period allegedly due to ‘transliteration’ issue was made operational last week.
