July 30 – State Government has filed 2 Contempt petitions against Karnataka State Government for trying to divert the flow of monsoonal water towards the Kalasa project. Both these petitions are tagged together with Special Leave Petitions filed by the party States and are scheduled to listed for final hearing in the week commencing August 5,2024, the house was told in a written reply today. Goa has also filed disobedience petition before Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal, the reply added. Kalasa work has not been recommenced by Karnataka, the reply further stated.
