Aug 2- Electricity Department has notified compensation of Rs 20 lakh to the nominee of the Staff for the accidental death caused while on duty. Rs 20 lakh will be paid as compensation to the staff suffering grievous injuries in such on duty accidents if there is total disablement and compensation will be Rs 11.25 lakh if there is partial disablement, states the notification. The “Goa Electricity Department Compensation Scheme” will be applicable to Station Operator, Linemen/Wiremen, Asst. Linemen, Meter Readers, and Line Helpers borne on Regular Establishment
