Aug 7 – Sports Minister Govind Gaude assured to keep sports stadiums in the state open from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm for general public and athletes. MLA Daji Salkar raised the issue of underutilization of refurbished Tilak Maidan. He sought the need to open these sports infrastructure for the local athletes for optimum use. Minister said that the govt is hesitant to allow people to use these stadiums because of misuse and lack of maintenance. He said someone should take responsibility of maintenance of these facilities.
