Aug 19 – Goa Tourism Development Corporation(GTDC) and Goa Forest Development Corporation(GFDC) have jointly launched a booking website for providing ‘hassle-free booking’ experience for tourists interested in trekking to the Dudhsagar cascade. Tourists can now book the slots online on dudhsagartrekking .com by paying the prescribed fee which amounts to around Rs 527 per persons. The fee was earlier Rs 327. Around 500 trekkers are permitted per day. One guide is mandatory for a group of 10 tourists. Guides operating in the area have been protesting for past 3 days against the additional per person fees levied this year by GFDC and GTDC.
