Aug 25- Bhoma- Adcona Panchayat Gram Sabha witnessed a noisy scene today over controversial national highway works which the villagers are opposing tooth and nail. Large number of villagers were present at the Gram Sabha and the hall in which it was being held was small. The gramsabha meeting venue was shifted to the open space outside the hall after villagers, large number of whom were women demanded that the meeting be held in open space to accommodate everyone. Villagers have been issued land acquisition notices for acquiring land for the proposed flyover work. Gram Sabha has resolved to write to the local MLA asking for a bypass and also seek his intervention in the matter, informed Sarpanch. “Next process will be decided by the MLA,” he claimed. He also informed that PWD has sent series of documents to the Panchayat regarding the proposed flyover for the first time.
