KTCL employees defer Sept 6 strike following meeting assurance by CM

Aug 30- Employees of the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTCL) today announced that their strike which was scheduled to commence on September 6 stands withdrawn following assurance by CM Pramod Sawant that their demands would be met. CM has assured the KTC Drivers and Allied Employees Association (KDAEA), backed by the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) that he will hold a detailed meeting with them in October. The meeting will tentatively be held on Oct 15. Disbursal of 34 month pending arrears according to the 7th Pay Commission, increasing of PF rate to 12%, regularisation in services are some of their demands.
