Sept 12 – The monthly parking fees for vessels at Cutbon Jetty has been increased to Rs 1 lakh from Rs 5,000. A meeting chaired by Environment Minister Alexio Sequeira took this decision on the recommendation of the stakeholders. The issue assumed significance in view of the large number of vessels lying abandoned at the jetty. Meanwhile, several workers suffering from Cholera are still admitted in the hospitals.
