Sept 29 – All police personnel who have been posted in one place for 3 or more years will be transferred. Transfer order issuing process will commence within next 3 to 4 days, informed CM Pramod Sawant today. He was speaking to media persons after holding high level security review meeting of the State Home Dept. All police personnel including constables, PIs, PSIs etc upto DySP level will be shifted, their posting will be rotated from Police to Traffic to Coastal etc, he added. Some of them have settled down in their present postings, he pointed out, adding that Govt will not bow down to any pressure in this regards.
CM also said that it will be mandatory for PIs to reside in the vicinity of the police station where he/she is posted so that they are available all the time, as and when the needed.
He also informed that henceforth 20 % police force will be deployed on night duty.
