Oct 4 – The 8 MLA disqualification case is likely to be brought to conclusion by the Goa Legislative Speaker within next 20 days time. As per Supreme Court directions, the matter is being heard since yesterday, informed Speaker Tawadkar further adding, “Based on the arguments, written statements etc conclusion will be given to them within 20 days.” Arguments in the matter will continue next week. Presently the petitioner counsels are arguing the matter. Respondent counsels are likely to present their say before the speaker next week. 8 of the 11 Congress MLAs had defected to BJP in September 2022.
