Oct 15 – People leaving their fields fallow should consider setting up solar farms there and generate revenue, advised Power Minister Sudin Dhavlilkar. He was speaking at a department related event at Dramapur. Solar farms are large areas of land containing interconnected solar panels positioned together, to harvest solar energy. He also asked households consuming 300 to 400 units of power to apply for the free rooftop solar installation scheme under the PM Suryadhar Muft Bijli Yojana, stating that their electricity bills could drop to zero if they avail themselves of the scheme.
