Oct 23 – Calangute police have arrested a person for allegedly verbally abusing and slapping a 11-year-old minor girl over the issue of fight between her and his daughter. The accused is identified as Gautam Verma a resident of Calangute and native of Uttar Pradesh. As per complaint filed by the father of the victim girl, Gautam and his wife assaulted his daughter while she was travelling to her school from Arpora to Mapusa in a tempo traveller. Verma has been arrested under section 352, 115(2) r/w 3(5) BNS and 8(2) of Goa Childrens Act 2008.
