Nov 8- With 81 children in 6 to 14 age group identified to be out of schools in last 7 months, from April to October 2024, Education Department has asked Labour Commissioner to make the Labour contractors ensure that the children of workers employed by them are admitted to school. Pointing out that all out of school children are those of migrant labourers who are constantly moving from one place to the other, the department has put the onus of getting the children admitted to school on the labour contractors employing their parents. The contractors are mandated to give declaration of proof of admission of the children to the Labour Commissioner. Education Director Shailesh Zingade informed that last year 97 children were out of school.
