Nov 18 – Centre of Excellence for Skull Base Surgery will be established at Goa Medical & Hospital in early 2025, offering world class, life-saving treatments for complex cranial and nasal disorders, informed GMC Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar. Brain tumour surgery costing upto Rs 10 lakh will be made available free at GMC, he added. Skull base surgery is a minimally invasive specialized type of surgery that focuses on treating conditions at the base of the skull.
