Dec 15 – Anjuna’s gramsabha witnessed heated arguments between groups of villagers both supporting and opposing late-night parties in Anjuna and Vagator. Locals demanded that the Village Panchayat reject proposals to convert restaurants into clubs. While some villagers argued that loud music parties were essential for tourism and their absence could hinder the industry, the opposing group raised concerns about after-parties and high-decibel music violating mandatory norms.
