Digital Goa, Sept 10 – The Art and Culture Department has launched the statewide ‘Aamchi Chavath 2026’ online competition to showcase Goa’s Ganesh Chaturthi traditions and creativity on digital platforms.
The five categories are Matoli Decoration, Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Dekhava, Family Tradition Video/Reel, Ganpati Song Singing and Ganpati Stotra Recitation. Online registration begins on Sept 11 through the official QR code.
The Department of Art and Culture, has launched a state-wide onlinecompetition, ‘Aamchi Chavath 2026’ to showcase and celebrate the devotion, creativity, traditions and festive spirit of Goa’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrationsand take the unique cultural flavour of Goa’s ‘Chavath` to audiences acrossIndia and the world through social media and digital platforms. ‘Aamchi Chavath 2026’ features five categories such as Matoli
Decoration, Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Dekhava, Family Tradition Video/Reel, Ganpati Song Singing and Ganpati Stotra Recitation. Online registration will commence on September 11, 2026. Entries for the Matoli Decoration and Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Dekhava categories will beaccepted up to September 15, 2026 and will be assessed by a jury appointedbythe Department. Entries for the remaining three categories will be acceptedupto September 20, 2026 and will be judged online based on the views, likes and shares received by the entries published on the Department’s official social media pages. Any use of artificial, fraudulent or unfair means to increase views, likes or shares will result in disqualification. Participants can register ands ubmit their entries through the official QR code. Attractive prizes will beawarded to the winners in the respective categories. The Department of Art and Culture has appealed people of Goa toparticipate in large numbers and celebrate the spirit and fervor of Aamchi Chavath, while showcasing the rich traditions, creativity and devotion that make Goa’s Ganesh Chaturthi unique. The initiative aims to encourage greater public participation and provide a platform for individuals, families andGaneshotsav mandals to showcase the diverse ways in which Chavath is celebrated across Goa, while taking Goa’s vibrant festive traditions to a wider audience.
