Digital Goa, Feb 24 – AAP State President Amit Palekar flanked by GPCC President Amit Patkar today announced that Congress and AAP have forged alliance in Goa for Lok Sabha polls and that both North Goa and South Goa seats will be contested by Congress. Palekar said that AAP and Congress will unitedly fight both Lok Sabha seats in Goa to defeat “corrupt” BJP. GPCC President Amit Patkar thanked AAP Delhi and State leadership for arriving at a consensus decision in the interest of the state of Goa. It may be noted that AAP had earlier announced MLA Venzy Viegas as their candidate for South Goa Lok Sabha seat. With the new development, AAP has withdrawn Venzy as the candidate for South Goa candidate. Patkar made an appeal to the other opposition parties to join INDIA block for defeating what he called Bhrust Jhumala Party. When asked about the declaration of candidates, Patkar said that a central committee meeting in Delhi on Tuesday is likely to finalise both the Congress candidates.
