Digital Goa, Feb 13 – Aam Admi Party has announced that Venzy Viegas will be the party’s candidate for the South Goa Lok Sabha constituency on behalf of the INDI Alliance. “I am deeply honoured and humbled by the immense responsibility of contesting the South Goa seat for Lok Sabha elections. I thank our National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal for the trust shown in me, and pledge to work hard and win this constituency for the INDIA Alliance,” tweeted Venzy.
▪️ Congress expresses surprise over AAP declaring candidate in South having sitting Congress MP
“India alliance talks are on at the national level. The national co-ordination team will speak on this. At state level I don’t want to make a statement on this,” said GPCC President Amit Patkar reacting to the announcement. He however expressed surprise as to why AAP announced the candidate from South Goa where Congress already has a sitting MP instead of North Goa which has a BJP MP.
