Dec 20 – Bail plea of suspended IRBn constable Amit Naik has been adjourned by JMFC Panaji to Saturday. Naik has been referred by GMC to IPHB for mental health assessment and treatment. Naik had tried to commit suicide in the lockup by consuming floor cleaner. He was arrested for allegedly assisting notorious land scam accused Suleiman alias Siddique Khan escape from Crime Branch lockup. Meanwhile, police remand of Hazrat Ali the person who allegedly harboured the fugitive at Hubli has been extended by 3 more days.
