Digital Goa, Sep 6 – Union Home Minister Amit Shah cancelled his scheduled engagements in Goa and returned to Delhi following the building collapse at Satya Niketan in the national capital. Shah, who was on a two-day visit to Goa, was at the newly constructed BJP state headquarters at Chimbel when the news of Delhi building collapse broke. The inaugural program was curtailed and Shah cut short his visit to monitor the situation in Delhi. A a five-storey building housing a boys’ paying guest accommodation collapsed near Shiv Mandir at Satya Niketan in South West Delhi at 1:30 p.m on Sunday. The building, known as ‘Hostel Daze’, was located near Delhi University’s South Campus in a densely populated neighbourhood where many outstation students live.
