Amit Shah presents President’s Colour to Goa Police

    Digital Goa, September 7 – Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the President’s Colour to the Goa Police at SPM Stadium, Bambolim, today. The President’s Colour is the highest honour conferred on a military or police unit in recognition of its service and discipline.
    Shah lauds deployment of AI based call agent for 1930 helpline
    Shah lauded Goa govt for introducing an AI-based call agent for the 1930 cybercrime helpline. The system can communicate in Konkani, Marathi and other languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, he pointed out.Shah said the initiative had placed Goa a step ahead of the rest of the country in using technology to improve access to cybercrime assistance.
    Emergency response time of Goa police reduced to 8 minutes :Shah
    Shah further went on to add that his review of Goa Police’s 112 emergency service showed that its response time had improved from 18 minutes to eight minutes. He said, given the deployment of additional vehicles and two-wheelers, the response time would actually be 6 minutes. Immediate assistance has so far been provided in around 20,000 calls, he added. Shah also said Goa had achieved 93.38% progress in implementing the three new criminal laws, ranking second in the country.
