Jan 29-In a big relief to the people of Bardez taluka, who are reeling under water shortage for almost a week, the gates of Amthane dam have been finally opened. The water from Amthane dam will reach Bardez tonight, said CM Pramod Sawant. The water shortage issue was aggravated due to non opening of Amthane dam gate. Strict action will be taken against the concerned engineer responsible for the negligence, said CM.
