Digital Goa, July 15 – Anjana Kamat was on Tuesday elected unopposed as the Chairperson of the Sanquelim Municipal Council. She represents Ward No. 12 (Virdi-Sanquelim) and succeeds Siddhi Prabhu, who stepped down after completing her two-year tenure as part of a rotational arrangement to provide opportunities to other women councillors. Kamat’s election to the top municipal post was uncontested.
