Digital Goa, June 10 – Anjuna-Caisua Panchayat today issued a public notice to owners or occupants of 175 structures in Coastal Regulation Zone(CRZ)/ No Development Zone(NDZ) area, asking them to produce documents such as construction licence or permission issued if any by the Panchayat to determine the legality of the structures as per Section 66 of Goa Panchayat Raj Act. The documents are to be submitted with next 5 days. The public notice has been issued as per High Court Order dated April 26, 2023 . “The concerned Occupants/Owners etc. having structures/cottages/Restaurant etc. are hereby called upon to produce the construction licence/permissions before the Village Panchayat Anjuna-Caisua within 5 days of the publication of this notice,” states the notice. In the event such documents are not produced the Panchayat will take appropriate action under the Goa Panchayat Raj Act as per the direction of Hon’ble High Court, the notice adds.
