Digital Goa, Dec 6 – Goa govt will come up with a mobile app to assist credit cooperative societies in identifying fraudsters who take loans at multiple banks, informed CM Pramod Sawant. Govt is coming up with the system, and a new app by March 31, he said. He added that the app will alert the Cooperative society whether the person who has applied for loan has already taken loans with other financial institutions. CM who is also the home minister also assured that the Home Dept will initiate process to make action under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act more stringent. All the violators who have duped credit co-operative societies and against whom warrant is issued can be arrested, he warned. This will fasten recovery, he opined. “It’s people’s money. No one will be allowed to embezzle it,” he asserted.
