Arpora Inferno: Luthra brothers fled to Phuket, Thailand hours after incident; LOC issued, Interpol coordination underway say Goa Police

Digital Goa, Dec 8 – Goa Police has released an update on the Birch by Romeo Lane fire investigation, confirming that the prime accused, Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, left the country hours after the incident.
Police said their teams raided Delhi residences of the accused soon after the FIR was registered, but the duo was not found. A notice was pasted at their homes, and by the evening of December 7, a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued. Checks with the Bureau of Immigration revealed that both had taken a 6E 1073 flight to Phuket at 5:30 am on December 7 — shortly after the fire that occurred around midnight — indicating an attempt to evade the investigation, said police. Goa Police said they are now coordinating with the Interpol division of the CBI to apprehend them at the earliest. Meanwhile, one accused, Bharat Kohli, has been arrested in Delhi and brought to Goa on transit remand for further interrogation. Police also informed that Post-mortem examinations of all 25 victims have been completed and the bodies handed over to families .
