Aug 19 – Cyber fraudsters duped a person from Assolda to the tune of Rs 4.10 lakh on the pretext of renewal of his credit card. A complaint to this effect was registered at Colva police station today by the victim Namdev Bamanvadkar. However the incident occurred on Jan 31,2024. As per the complaint, an unidentified person bearing mobile no 8927840295 on pretext of renewal of credit card by using computer source transferred amount of Rs 4.10 lakh from his bank account. Case has been booked against the unidentified accused u/s 420 IPC and 66D of IT Act 2000.
