July 30 – Commercial Tax revenue of Goa has increased by 9.2 % and stands at Rs 5,938 crore, CM Pramod Sawant informed the house today. Commercial Tax revenue has been increased from Rs 5438 crore in 2022-23 to Rs 5938 in 2023-24 despite reduction in VAT, said Sawant.
Rs 20.63 crore have been recovered by freezing bank accounts of defaulting dealers.
Rs 18 crore have been recovered through one time settlement under GRATIPOS Act 2023 through 4176 online applications received for OTS
Rs 28.29 crores have been recovered from E-way bill defaulters
