Baina Dacoity: police say leads strong

Digital Goa, Nov 18 – DIG Varsha Sharma who visited the scene of the crime said the police have strong leads in the case and added that she is taking the incident “as a challenge” to ensure the culprits are arrested swiftly. Dacoits had locked the door of the apartment of Sagar Nayak from outside, informed his brother Prasad Nayak. They tied Sagar and left him in the balcony while his wife and daughter were tied and left inside the flat. Sagar managed to shout for help, prompting a neighbour to spot him and alert the authorities, he informed. The accused also took ice cream from the fridge before fleeing. 60-year-old Sagar who is a heart patient has received severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at GMC, Bambolim and his condition is stable, said Prasad.The dacoits are seen on CCTV before fleeing from the building.
