Digital Goa, Aug 9 – Even as police assured agitated people to arrest Meghna Sawardekar, owner of car involved in Banastari horrific accident case in 24 hours, she managed to get interim relief from arrest from court this afternoon. Court granted her interim relief from arrest and the matter of anticipatory bail application was kept on August 16. Many villagers assembled this afternoon outside Mardol Police Station in view of assurance given by police that the lady will be arrested by today afternoon. However, police told the people that they did not find the woman at her residence and will need another 24 hours to trace her. People expressed strong displeasure over police inaction.
