Digital Goa, August 29 – In view of the traditional cultural festival Sangod Ustav, barge and boat operations in the Cumbarjua Canal will be restricted from 5 pm on August 30, 2025, to 7 pm on August 31, 2025. The restrictions apply to all vessels except those engaged in essential services. Authorities have cautioned vessel operators not to navigate through the stretch from Banastari to New Gaundaulim–Cumbarjua bridge during the festival period. Patrolling boats with red flags by day and signaling lights at night will be stationed on either side of the bridges to enforce the restrictions and issue on-the-spot instructions.
